Orientation Program on Cancerfor persons with visual disabilities

Pahichan Nepal organized a day-long Orientation Program on Cancer for persons with visual disabilities in coordination with Nidhi Shakti Health Protection Center on 10th May, 2019 at National Women Commission in Bhadrakali, Kathmandu.

Dr. Ranjana Karmacharya from National Cancer Hospital and Research Center oriented on the types, causes, symptoms, its effects and preventions and treatment procedures to the participants.

In the program, Ichhya KC, the president of Pahichan Nepal detailed about the vision and aim of establishing the organization and its long term vision on working for single and marginalized women with disabilities and the children. Ms. KC also briefed the importance of knowledge on cancer especially for persons with disabilities.

In the program, Pahichan-Nepal also distributed a school bag to ten children of persons with visual disabilities. The bags were provided by KANDO Foundation.

The program was technically support by National Cancer Hospital and research Center of Harisiddhi, Lalitpur.
